They don’t use wands, but the work done by student journalists is nothing short of magical.
So join us in Orlando for Media Magic 2015, the JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention. It’s the largest fall gathering of student journalists in America, and we have four days of learning, competition and fun awaiting along Disney’s Boardwalk, Nov. 12-15, 2015.
Our name is drawn from the world’s busiest theme park (the Magic Kingdom), nearby Universal Orlando’s two enchanted lands dedicated to the boy wizard Harry Potter and the host city’s NBA team, the Orlando Magic. But more so, it reflects the work our members put into creating their yearbooks, magazines, newspapers, websites and broadcast programs each and every day.
Convention planners are preparing a long weekend of top-notch guest speakers, area media tours, opportunities to meet storytellers of all types and some pixie dust-inspired fun at the Walt Disney World Dolphin hotel, just steps from both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Make plans now for NSPA and JEA’s first magical, memorable visit to the Sunshine State.
